Sad news. The always entertaining John Mortimer has died.One of a kind.
Wit, grit, Rumpole and countless bottles of wine.
Thanks for the laughs, your dedication to free speech and the fights to preserve it, that voyage round your dad, and a number of books on my shelves.

an old expat friend o mine living now in england brought this man's passing to my attention. much britcom is lost on me but i will study mortimer's interviews and conversations and find some sparkle there
